Miss T is my girl...

we go way back...

Last weekend I got to give her some overdue TLC

and she was eating it up!!

First: We went to her favorite place to eat, Panda Express

Second: We went and got a pedi, well she did...

The finished product...

Third: We went to see the movie "Rio"

{not in 3D but she insisted on wearing the glasses}

Fourth: Called it a night, went home and watched one of her movies she brought from home. She really wanted to sleep in my bed, so when Aaron got home he got kicked to the couch.

Fifth: Went on a bike ride to a park in my neighborhood, got shaved ice and played.

Sixth: Went to McDonalds, were she played in the playhouse for well over 1 1/2 hours.

Then: I took her home.

It was hanging out with Miss T. When I was younger, my fondest memories are when my Aunt Judy would pick me up on Friday evening and spoil me just like this!

I'm going to do better at doing this with all my Nieces!

Weekend With My Besties!

Got to spend the weekend in Portland with my sisters!

and hang out with some of my babies!

This handsome lil guy got 1st place in his division the the "Race for the Roses" 10k that him, Angelene, Sierra, DeLona, Maddy and their friend Cass ran while we were there.

It's really hard for me to believe that Maddy is 13 & wearing make up

We were able to go to one of Sierra & Cole's track meets, I'm not just saying this because I'm a proud aunt, but they are Super Stars at their school. Maybe that's a slight exaggeration, but they are both really good at the events they compete in. And usually get 1st or 2nd... and occasionally 3rd.

My mother made some hot lookin girls, and my sister made some too...

Aaron and I started the tradition when we got married to always take a family picture by our Christmas tree. It's funny to go back and look at the old ones... hopefully one day it won't just be us two in the picture.

Birthday, Anniversary & Football

Aaron had a Birthday!

Found this thing in Aaron's closet, and wore it to the ASU vs Oregon game on Saturday

It was also our anniversary on Monday so to celebrate the big "3 yr" I got us some tickets to the game.

Then to top it off I got hooked up at work with some Cardinals Tickets!!!

In a suite... it was a blast, and we even got these cool mini tv's that have all the comforts of a DVR, nothing like watching the instant replay. Especially when it's the Raiders missing the field goal.

What do you get a lady that has this much School Spirit?

I mean sersly??

My older sister DeLona is a Team Mom, all 5 of her kids are actively involved in sports. And of course she is at EVERY game/meet! Yelling, screaming, cheering, all of the above. She's the mom in the stands that maybe sometimes you want to tell to sit down... But she is not ashamed, she is a proud mama! And I'm sure some day I will be the same way :-)

The list of sports that her kids play is long, but it consist of:

Basketball

Year Round and very competitive Softball

Baseball

Cross Country

and of course High School Football!

Which leads me to these... I had to do it!

It gets pretty cold in Portland around football season, so you gotta stay warm in the stands, but still have your arms free to cheer.

Mt Graham 2010

Mt Graham was a bit different this year

there had been a big rain storm on the mountain, and the forest service had told us that we couldn't get into Treasure Park so it was basically it was canceled.

Well the Merrill's don't take no a answer, so after many phone calls, cousins driving up to the mountain, much deliberation, and having parts of campground open we went anyways. And it turned out that the forest service opened up the entire meadow the Thursday prior to the weekend.

But because it had already been canceled, the majority of my cousins had already made other plans for the weekend. So only Orland's, Kay's, Judy's & my families went (Gary's) it was weird to not have everyone up there. As I'm sure it was weird for them to not be there, I've been going to this mountain every Labor Day weekend of my entire life. (right mom?)

Pretty much I Love It!

Went on a 2 mile hike to find Amaron & Kyle (which we never found) Krew walked the whole way. He kept asking me to carry him, which I politely declined, he even offered me kisses in exchange for a ride, which broke my heart, but I had to decline. He walked the whole way up and down, when (not saying any names) but cousins his age and older cried and ended up getting carried most of the hike.

It was probably the Dr Pepper that kept him going!

Sister's Weekend Las Vegas

Me & My Sister's decided that it was a good time to have a sister's only weekend together.

It's been a long time overdue... so we met in Las Vegas just the 3 of us!

Flew in on a thursday, and all met at the airport, ready to PARTY!

And ready to do what the billboard says behind us!

Friday we went to Cirque Du Soleil "Viva Elvis"

We got a little lost along the way

and were totally late... walked way more then necessary! Angelene & DeLona's feet already had blisters when we finally got there.

But luckily the box office had mercy on us and let us exchange our tickets for the later showing, and we even got upgraded seats!

The show was so awesome defiantly recommend it!

De took off her heels and walked barefoot the rest of the night, yes even on the strip!

Abby (chunks new wife) is from Castle Rock, Colorado so they had a reception held in their honor there on Saturday, August 7th so a few of us decided to make a vacation out of it!

#1 Colorado is so pretty!

While the Brides and Grooms exited we all held sparklers... such a cute idea!!! and these ones were huge!

The rest of Day 1 was a adventure! Getting a tiny bit lost while trying to find the cabin, finally finding the cabin and there being guest already staying at the cabin, us kinda kicking out the guest already staying in the cabin. Pretty sure they weren't suppose to be there, and the look on Abby's face was classic when she thought that some creeps had crashed her cabin.

Wedding Dinner!

The night before the wedding was the wedding dinner... Great food, and even better entertainment! The mom's put together a really cute routines for the nieces & nephews

Abby plays basketball for Weber State, so the girls did a little dance with basketball's to a High School Musical song. It was so cute they were all wearing Abby's number "12"

Then the boys did a fabulous rendition of "Single Ladies" with moves inspired by one of my favorite shows "Glee" it was amazing! I haven't laughed that hard in my whole life!

The Wedding!

The Sealing was in the morning and Aaron and I were actually on time!

Went up north for the weekend!

Hit up Heber for the parade. Which was the most honkey parade I've ever attended!

But ran into a very handome man! (uncle Larry)

Then stuck around in Heber for the fireworks! Which made up for the bootleg parade... the fireworks there are awesome!

Besides getting closer to 30 my Birthday was pretty tight!

Went to Joe's BBQ for lunch, with family and friends... Even Aaron came!

To top it off... my husband gives the BEST gifts ever! See I'm not really a "watch" wearer, I love my bracelets. I always have a bangle bracelet on! So Aaron got me this watch which is also a bangle bracelet. I LOVE IT! I've worn it everyday, and plan on wearing it for the next 4 days... possibly everyday!

Grandpa Palmer's Fishing Derby 2010

a couple weeks ago we went up to Pinetop for "Grandpa Palmer's Fishing Derby" it was a blast!

the weather was nice until the sun got covered up and the wind started blowing, there was a couple of snow flurries through out the day, it was so much fun.

this weekend i did some stuff around the house that included:

Easter #1

Easter #1 was a eventful day...

Started if off with a GIANT Easter Egg filled with all of Aaron's favorites here he is (pictured above) with his "Easter Egg" from the Easter Bunny

Then... we went and watched the 2nd Session of Conference @ my brother's house along with most of my brother and sisters

and nieces and nephews...

Then... we had a Easter Egg hunt... it was so much fun!

My cousin Karene got married on Saturday! Karene is my cousin who I have always looked up too! Her and her sister Lori V were like my so sooo cool and pretty older cousins! I remember being young and going to my brothers basketball games and Karene was a cheerleader out on the court, and I would just watch her and think how cool she was, and during halftime I would run down to the court and get so excited when she'd say hi to me and give me a hug! Pretty much I wanted to be her!

The wedding ceremony was beautiful, and the reception was a BLAST!!!!

Ya.... see I ain't a fan of Private Blogs.... ok I'm a blog stalker! it's annoying to me when i start blog hoppin around see some familiar names on the side of a blog think excitingly to myself "dang... {insert familiar name here} they have a blog?!?! I wonder what they are up to?" then i click on their link just to see "This blog is open to invited readers only" then you wonder, i wonder if they know i'm trying to view their blog? (no they don't) would they care if i did? well guess neither them or i will ever know cause i don't have their phone number or email to let them know they should invite me. BTW i have many of links on my sidebar that i totally don't have permission to read their blogs... i used to, but i didn't stalk their blog at the right time to give them my email to invite me. i say this hoping they would actually invite me... but i have stalked a few blogs that i stalked regularly at the right time and could have totally given them my email but they probably would have no idea who i am (and think i'm a creeper for being on their blog in the first place) because i didn't know them exactly, they were like the older brother or sister to someone who was my age in high school or a friend of a friend that had like really cute hair and they blogged about funny stuff and i liked reading it... but now i can't cause i got "permission denied" i understand why people make their blog private... there are crazies out there...

Chicks usually blog about their kidz... will since I don't have any I'm bloggin about my puppies again. I've learned a lot about dogs lately... I found out the hard way that after they have puppies they have "Mad Diarrhea" this is what I came home to on Saturday! Just looking at this picture fills my nostrils with the wretched smell that consumed my house! I felt so bad for being gone all day leaving her in the bathroom! I had just eaten Costa Vida and almost lost my Nachos about 7 times while cleaning this up. I was a bit freaked out so I "Googled" it and learned it was normal for about a week! It's lasted 4 day's! aka: Way too long...

I promise I'm not a "Dog Lady" actually having my dog in the house is killing me. She's usually a outside dog but since the puppies came we've been keeping her inside.

only thing i knew about this book was it was about a vampire and some Mormon chick from Arizona wrote it! I didn't ever really care at all, until my friend Paige decided to tell me about the books and forced me to watch the trailer for "new moon" I was then a bit interested I dreamt that night that Aaron left me and I was doing crazy and dangerous things so that he would come to my memory and I would hear his voice and see a mirage of him telling me to be careful.

I was just going to watch the movie since I'm really not a reader but I couldn't find the movie in a Red Box anywhere, and to buy the movie they want $25 bucks!!!

There is a plus side to jumping on the bandwagon late I found all the books at Marshalls for $3 each...

So yes I started reading last night and am currently on page #348 can't wait to find out what happens at the Cullen family baseball game!

Conference

I was really excited about conference this month... I totally enjoyed all the talks that were given and just had a feeling before hand that one or two of them would spark something in me that I needed... and they didn't disappoint.

But there is something about those Heavenly voices that just sooth me to sleep. (don't act like you have never fallen asleep watching) I fought it, didn't let them this time...
They got the best of Aaron though... He really enjoyed conference too!!!
{i love his blanket, and he swore he woke up every once in a while and listened a bit}
Good thing we have DVR so he can watch them all when he's feeling more awake... (wink, wink)
I'm actually excited for the talks to come out on podcast so i can down load them on my i pod and listen to them again!!!

Caramel Popcorn that is!!!

Just got to float my boat for a minute... I have a mother who is an amazing baker, and a sister who is an amazing cook...

and i'm not a baker or a cook or a chef...

{Which is why I'm so proud of myself}
But i followed the directions and wa.. la...

Here is my handsome husband enjoying the final product..

I told him it was good and he said "ok, I'll try it" he took two bites and said "u didn't make this" in a sarcastic tone... translation = it is good!!!

He wanted u to see the kernels in his mouth...

{isn't that beard so hot???}

-here is the recipe-

My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn

INGREDIENTS
7 quarts plain popped popcorn
2 cups dry roasted peanuts (optional)
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup margarine
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS
Place the popped popcorn into two shallow greased baking pans. You may use roasting pans, jelly roll pans, or disposable roasting pans. Add the peanuts to the popped corn if using. Set aside.
Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C). Combine the brown sugar, corn syrup, margarine and salt in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring enough to blend. Once the mixture begins to boil, boil for 5 minutes while stirring constantly.
Remove from the heat, and stir in the baking soda and vanilla. The mixture will be light and foamy. Immediately pour over the popcorn in the pans, and stir to coat. Don't worry too much at this point about getting all of the corn coated.
Bake for 1 hour, removing the pans, and giving them each a good stir every 15 minutes. Line the counter top with waxed paper. Dump the corn out onto the waxed paper and separate the pieces. Allow to cool completely, then store in airtight containers or resealable bags.

We celebrated Aaron's Birthday up in Pinedale, he has a Elk Hunt that (and I quote) "I have been waiting 10 years for this thing" needless to say he is very excited...

Merrill Reunion 2009

This is my amazing Grandpa Merrill this year at the reunion we spotlighted him I am always so jealous of my cousin who had the chance to hang out with him alot, because my family was the city slickers and we where so young i only have a few memories of him but didn't know as much as I would have loved to but what i do know about the man is:

he had very big ears
he loved my Grandma (his wife) so soooo much
he loved his grandkids
he was a good trapper
he had a sence of humor like my daddy
he only fought with my Grandma once and that was about my name (i just learned this at the reunion) he swore when i was born my name was Wochelle and my Grandma kept telling him it was Rachelle and he didn't believe her.

Wow.... i have been blogging a lot lately but i figured this was post worthy a few weeks back my Family had some pictures taken by my most talented friend Heather

Here are my parents with there 31 Grandchildren

We hadn't had a complete Merrill Family photo for over 5 years so it needed to be done

i feel they turned out pretty awesome considering the following circumstances:

112 Degrees outside
31 of the 50 people being kids 16 & younger
last minute planning
3 families that came from out of town with there 7+ Families

Too bad not everyone is looking but hey... at least i am... lol

Don't worry bothers and sisters i am burning the disk of pictures and will be mailing them out to you ASAP so hopefully you get them by Christmas

Which in turn makes August a very busy month with Birthdays!!!!

Between Aaron's and my families we have like (and I'm totally guessing but it's pretty close) 16 Birthday's in August... and yes that is just siblings nieces & nephews and in-laws.

So Happy Birthday to all of you! I'm not even going to attempt to name them all cause I would probably forget one and feel really bad! But you know who you are and I love you all!

Tonight we celebrated Aaron's Dad's 60th Birthday!!!

It was so much fun we did water activities in the lot next to Jon and Lindsay's new home (aka: Rogers lot, aka: across the street from Jen & Russ, aka: were Aaron & I had our reception)

Aaron & I were Sealed in the Temple on Friday!

It was awesome...

Here are a few people who stuck around after the Sealing.

Because Aaron & I are blessed with such big families we could only invite our brothers and sisters. So I'm sorry to any of our close friend and Aunt's & Uncle's we truly wished you could have been there. Our Sealing fell on the day of Aaron's Grampy's 101st Birthday he used to be a sealer in the Temple before he passed, and the man who sealed us was really old (no offence he was amazing) but me not knowing Grampy could just imagine that he was Grampy talking to us!

Special Thanks to all my Brothers & Sisters who came!

DeLona was able to come from Portland, and Steven made a surprise arrival the night before!!!

And my two brothers from up north.

Seriously thank you so much for the support!

We went up to the White Mountains for a family Reunion. It was a blast as usual... I've gone up to Big Lake almost every summer of my life!!! It's crazy to see my nieces & nephews run around I remember being their size and running around just like them.... I'm getting old!!!

Dusty (aka Tank) had lots of fun throwing rocks into the lake! He's hiding under the dock so no one can get him cause he wanted to stay and we all wanted to leave... when i said "goodbye we're leaving" he just waved back and said "bye!"

If you know Aaron you know that he ALWAYS has his phone on him and charged! So he was devastated that he dropped his phone into the lake... luckily it was by the dock in some shallow water so amazingly he was able to fish it out!!! We had heard the trick to dry out water damage phones was to stick it in a bag of rice and let it sit for a few days... so we tried it and wa laaaaa.... the all touch phone that was sitting in the lake from 8am till 4pm works perfectly! Like nothing ever happened to it at all!!!

Friday after work we all went golfing... This is something we do quite often, but it was Garrett's first time. He plays on the wii and it pretty good but still needed some pointers from his daddy.

On Saturday Angelene and I decided that we'd go swimming, well Krew being the amazing 1 year old that he is loves to throw everything in the pool, (in the house, the toilet) here he is trowing Angelene's sandal in the pool, not too long after this he got a hold of my Blackberry and decided that it also needed to go swimming... :-( So if any of you have been trying to get a hold of me and haven't been able to, it's because my phone is ruined... RIP

Saturday night was so much fun!!!

Once a month at ET Motopark they have Sand drags and Mud bogging. This is Spencer, Zach's little brother he took his banshee out, there were so many people there. And a variety of many many different things people were racing. As well as driving thru the mud, seriously it was very entertaining to watch.

Our first trip to the dunes together this season! I know, I know, Kinda weird for us... I was so excited, I miss that place!

Ya... I thought he was going to crash, i was crappin my pants! Totally almost landed on his wing! Annie took these pictures and I'm glad cause i was too busy freakin out to snap the shot!

This motorcycle dude was Aaron's inspiration for trying the jump in the above picture... Same jump... totally different landing... lol Look how high this guy is, that is Brooke's head in the corner! (jumping the top of Patton)

The reason Aaron and I have not been to the dunes this season is because Aaron's tranny in his rail is on the verge of destruction! It makes horrible sounds... so not wanting to put money into it in this economy (if ya know what I'm sayin) have just avoided using the rail at all! But once again Brady gets a new toy (he got a new rail) and somehow convinces Aaron to play with his. So we went to the dunes with the intention of breaking the tranny. How come things never completely break when you plan on them breaking! I think we could get one more trip out of that thing! Anyone down to go play in the sand???

Aaron is obsessed with his Slash R/C truck! So maybe if i changed my name to slash he would be obsessed with me?!?!? Do you think that would work? Thanks to Brady this thing consumes all Aaron's free time and not so free time. His brothers are all into them too! Look at them it's like they are working on a classic show car or something....

Oh ya they built a track for them too!

Lame! They even have tackle boxes full of extra parts so they can fix them on the spot and finish the race!

Just kidding, they are fun, and these boys get crazy on the track together. It's actually quite comical to watch...

And this is what the kids do while their dad's are acting like 9 year old's.... lol...

My Daddy's oldest brother (Uncle Burt) past away a couple weeks ago so we were down in the David. Here are a few pictures @ my brothers grave. This was Krew's first visit to Uncle Aarron's grave, he was so excited!!!

I have so many memories at that grave site. Like going and stealing all the pretty flowers from other peoples sites and putting them by my brothers :-) Sorry if that offends anyone.

This was Aaron's first time to the David too! He totally loved it!
